Boris Johnson, as we know, was in town and wanted to meet Imran Khan, we are told. Well, our man in Bani Gala is nothing if not a poor sport, so he sent word that he will not go over to meet him and that it is the British foreign secretary who should come over to meet him.

Johnson wouldn’t have had a problem with that either, but we hear that he didn’t get security clearance to go over there. It took Jehangir Tareen to convince the Kaptaan to go over and meet Johnson himself.

In this, Khan beat Bilawal, whom Johnson met at the High Commission at a dinner.

At this dinner, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was seen, trying to convince the PPP’s Aitezaz Ahsen to help them scuttle the 24th amendment, to which the senator replied that his party had already decided to support the government in the proposed amendment.

Black Friday is a peculiarly American tradition, given how it is the day following Thanksgiving. Why it is celebrated in Pakistan, or why discounts are arbitrarily synced with it makes no sense, whatsoever. But try telling that to the rich ladies of Lahore, who completely clogged up the traffic in DHA and other areas on the day.
