Green signal for setting up five police stations in Rawalpindi

The District Coordination Committee has approved the proposal to set-up five more police stations to meet the shortage faced in Rawalpindi district.

The proposal was presented before the committee after the city witnessed rise in crime rate, and to overcome the police personnel shortage.

According to sources, the committee has also taken another initiative to deploy additional police personnel to fill the shortage of cops and eliminate the rising crime rate in the relevant areas.

The committee has also decided to increase the patrolling of police personnel in the certain areas of Rawalpindi to keep an eye on the criminal elements. More police recruitments would also be initiated.

District Coordination Committee is also planning to raise Dolphin Force similar to Lahore. The Dolphin Police Force will have their separate police stations.
