The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali has called a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on November 28th.
The JCP will consider the appointment of 5 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court (PHC). Chief Justice (CJ) PHC Mazhar Alam Mian Khel has nominated two judges and three lawyers to the JCP. They are Muhammad Bashir, Muhammad Ayyub Marwat and Umer Farooq, Muzammal Khan, and Mian Hussain respectively.
The JCP will consider these persons and submit their recommendation for the appointment high court judges.
The JCP will also consider the confirmation of two additional judges of the Islamabad High Court – Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb.
