Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday (Today) chaired a high-level meeting to review the Line of Control situation in the backdrop of unprovoked Indian firing.
PM Nawaz termed Indian rocket shelling on a passenger bus and an ambulance near the Line of Control as deplorable.
Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and National Security Adviser Naser Janjua briefed the meeting about the recent unprovoked Indian firing on the LOC that on Tuesday claimed the lives of nine civilians and three soldiers.
Director General ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar was also present on the occasion.
In the meeting, the PM reiterated that the government of Pakistan will not back off from moral, diplomatic and political support of people of Kashmir, saying that firing on innocent civilians is intolerable.
He called upon the international community to take notice of Indian brutality and play role in the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
