Sindh Governor Saeed-uz-Zaman’s health deteriorates, PM Nawaz pays visit

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday (today) visited newly-appointed Sindh Governor Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui at a private hospital in Karachi.

According to hospital sources, Saeed-uz-Zaman’s health deteriorated today on account of breathing complications.

According to a Governor House spokesperson, Siddiqui was suffering from the chest infection and breathing problems.

Siddiqui was sworn in as the 31st governor of Sindh on Nov 11, days after the federal government decided to end the 14-year tenure of former Sindh governor Ishratul Ibad in a meeting held between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain at the Presidency.

Justice Siddiqui, who served as chief justice of Pakistan, was among aspiring candidates for the post of president in 2003 and 2008.
