May 12 Incident: CJ Sindh High Court refuses to hear case

Sindh High Court Chief Justice has refused to hear a petition pleading the court to order inquiry of the May 12 incident case.

Refusing to hear the petition Chief Justice SHC Justice Sajjad Ali Shah commented that he was a part of the first larger bench and has heard the case and does not wish to become a part of the case.

The court later sent the issue of hearing of the May 12 case to Justice Ahmad Ali M. Shaikh.

It may be mentioned here that 48 people had died in incidents of riots and firings at the arrival of former chief justice Pakistan to Karachi on May 12, 2007.
