A man was tortured to death over love marriage dispute. The police arrested four including two women over murder charges.
Police said that Riaz, hailing from Bakhsu Wala area of Lodhran, entered in love marriage with a local girl without the consent of the girl’s family, a couple of months back.
Family and relatives of the girl equipped with batons attacked Riaz and tortured him leaving him critically injured.
The torture victim succumbed to his wounds before he could be shifted to hospital and the culprits escaped from the scene.
The police later visited the scene and shifted the body to hospital for post-mortem. During a raid, the police arrest four culprits including a brother of the girl, two women over the murder charges and after registering a case against them have started an investigation.
