Opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah Tuesday accused Imran Khan of creating division in the opposition by organising shows single-handedly.
Talking to the media Shah said that Imran Khan was treating politics as children play.
“The announcement of lockdown by Imran Khan divided the opposition,” he said.
“Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not go to the court because it has experience of cases there,” Shah added.
He said that in politics no one should move in a hurry and try to take everyone along. The PPP drafted the TORs and took the entire opposition along.
He added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had pledged to launch a joint movement if Panama bill was not approved in the parliament.
To a question about the retirement of the Chief of Army Staff, the opposition leader highly lauded the innings played by General Raheel Sharif.
He said, “The COAS took the army command in difficult times and started a war against terrorism, which he termed as a courageous decision.”
“The army fought the war against terrorists bravely who were killed and pushed back. There is a need for continuity in the actions of the army,” Shah said.
He also recognised the sacrifices by the army in the fight against terrorism.
Khursheed Shah said, “It is the prerogative of the Prime Minister to appoint new Chief of Army Staff, but cautioned that the country would suffer if decisions of General Raheel Sharif were reverted.”
