Since healthcare of masses is among the top most priorities of Punjab Government therefore, during the recent visit of Turkish President Erdogan to Pakistan, an agreement has been signed between Turkey and Punjab Government to cooperate and upgrade the services in the health sector of the province. According to details, the Turkish Health Agency will provide technical and other necessary assistance and cooperation for setting up Public Health Agency in Punjab. Besides working with the Punjab Government to stop the spread of epidemic and acute diseases, the Turkish government will also provide training to nurses and other medical staff. It is hoped that the Turkish cooperation and assistance in the health sector would help ensure provision of high standard healthcare facilities to the public in the province.
