While there is occasionally a ban slammed on double sawari there is no ban on triple sawari which is a common scene with the driver of motor cycle perching on the petrol tank with his feet scarcely reaching the brake paddles. This often results in accidents with the drivers failing to apply breaks in time. Even worse is the case in D.H.A. Lahore Cantt. where there is no traffic police whatsoever to instill discipline in the motor cycle drivers who drive in a reckless fashion. The authorities of traffic police ought to ban triple sawari of adults and extend their traffic control operations to defence area to save life of people and property due to daily accidents happening on Lahore Cantt.
