The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Rashad Mahmood paid farewell calls to the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah at Naval Headquarters and to the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman at Air Headquarters on Monday.
Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, he was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him the Guard of Honour. The Naval Chief then introduced the outgoing chairman to the Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.
Later, General Rashad Mahmood called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office. During the meeting Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah acknowledged and commended the remarkable services of General Rashad Mahmood during his tenure as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
Admiral Zakaullah highlighted the dynamic role played by the Chairman in his tenure to enhance the operational capabilities of Pakistan armed forces, inter-services cooperation, and their transformation into a potent and integrated force. The Admiral also appreciated his long meritorious services for the defence of the country and the armed forces.
On the occasion, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee thanked Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah for the whole hearted support offered by Pakistan Navy and expressed his gratitude and well wishes for Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zakaullah and Pakistan Navy.

Upon his arrival at Air Headquarters, General Rashad Mahmood was presented guard of honour by smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force.
Later, the CJCSC called on Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman in his office.
While talking to the Air Chief, General Rashad conveyed his deep satisfaction in the operational readiness state of Pakistan Air Force. He also lauded the key role played by PAF in the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The Air Chief praised the services rendered by General Rashad in strengthening the defence of Pakistan and his contributions towards enhancing Tri-Service synergy.
