In London, Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino were crowned the new title holders for “shortest married couple”.
The couple met on social media and finally tied the knot eight years ago. Both have dwarfism and come in at a combined height of 181.4cm.
He is 35.54 inches tall; she is 35.88 inches.
“We hope our new record will encourage the world to look past the physical differences in others and understand all people should be treated equally,” they said in a statement.
Described as a “lovely couple”, they’re obviously thrilled to have their photographs taken in front of Big Ben in all their wedding finery.
Official recognition from Guinness World Record was granted to them after they got married.
They beat out previous record holders, fellow Brazilians Douglas Maistre Breger da Silva and Claudia Pereira Rocha, who were 35.4 inches and 36.6 inches respectively.
