Enforcement Directorate of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Environment Wing of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has conducted a joint operation and retrieved 100 kanals of forest land from an illegal housing society, named North Ridge adjacent to sector D-12.

The operation was conducted by the officers of Enforcement Directorate, Environment Wing and other relevant formations while heavy machinery was also used during the operation.

Staff of Environment Wing, when tried to vacate illegal possession from the forest land, was attacked by the people of North Ridge Housing Society but operation was completed successfully.

Environment Wing had lodged an FIR against these people for interference in official affairs.

In the meanwhile, relevant formations of MCI and CDA had been directed to establish check posts in the area so that proper monitoring and retrieval of residual forest land could be ensured.

These formations had also been directed to lodge reports in police station in case of any resistance in this regard.
