Chitral Students Organization (CSO) in collaboration with Chitral’s Association for Education and Health (CAEH) to encourage talented students of Chitral has organised an awards distribution ceremony at Khyber Union Hall on Sunday.
Former Vice Chancellor (VC) of Peshawar University, Professor Dr Abdul Mateen was chief guest on the occasion while chairman Istihqaq-e- Pakistan, Malik Liaqat Ali Tabassum presided over the ceremony held in the memory of martyrs of Chitral, including Yasir Ullah Shaheed (APS), Capt Ajmal Shaheed, late Ahmad Jan & late Sardar Bakhtiyar and to encourage those who achieved positions in their respective universities.
Awards were given to 70 students, who had completed their Ph.D or achieved position in their department.
Professor Dr Abdul Mateen, Saifullah Mangol, advocate Sartaj Ahmad, Malik Liaquat Tabassum (President Pakistan Think Forum), Atta Ur Rehman , Khalif Bin Wali, Maqbooli Azam, father of Yasirullah Shaheed, Inayatullah Aseer, Muhibullah Terichvi Advocate, Razeetu Billah, female leader of PML-N, Bibi Jan and others distributed thye awards.
While speaking on the occasion they paid rich tribute to martyrs and appreciated talented students of Chitral who were position holders or had achieved their Ph.D and got gold medal.
The speakers highly lauded the efforts of chief organiser Umair Khalil Ullah.
The award holder students expressed their pleasure on getting ‘Yasirullah Shaheed Talent Award’ and termed it as a token of encouragement on the way of their success and education.
