Sabri murder case: Suspects involved remanded in police custody for 14 days

The suspects involved in the assassination of famous Qawwal Amjad Sabri and attack on Majlis in Nazimabad have been remanded in police custody for 14 days.

Ishaq aka Bobby and Asim aka Capri were presented before an Administrative judge of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) during which, the investigation officer requested to extend their remand.

Amjad Sabri, a renowned Qawwal or sufi singer was shot dead by two gunmen riding a motorcycle inKarachi in June, triggering an outpouring of grief over what police described as an “act of terror”.

Sabri was a fixture on national television and regularly performed on a morning show during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, winning many admirers for his devotional music, humble lifestyle and charitable work.
