Pakistan International Airline (PIA) diverted its flights from Toronto to Manchester on Saturday as its toilets got choked due to something solid thrown by passengers.
According to a statement issued by the airline’s spokesperson the drainage malfunctioned because a passenger disposed of a solid object in the toilet.
The statement added that since the toilets are connected to a common drain line, all toilets onboard the aircraft were rendered unusable.
The PIA said keeping in view the convenience of passengers, the flight has been diverted to Manchester where toilets would be serviced before the flight continues its journey.
The PIA management regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers. Chairman PIA directed passengers to strictly adhere to and carefully read the warning signs in the toilets.
PK-798 is expected to land at Manchester at 15:15 PST, according to the airline.
