Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria has said New Delhi is trying to deflect world attention from atrocities going on in occupied Kashmir by escalating tensions on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
In an interview with the state broadcaster, he said, “The people of Kashmir are struggling for their right to self-determination in a very peaceful manner.”
Nafees Zakaria said, “The genocide and crimes against humanity in occupied Kashmir by Indian forces have shaken the conscious of the entire international community.”
“India has tried to breach our territorial waters and they have been pushed back by the Pakistan Navy,” he added.
“Pakistan would lodge a strong protest with India and take this violation of Pakistani waters with the United Nations,” he further said.
