The office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) is to be shifted from sector F-8 Markaz (Kacthery) to I-10/3. However, there is no public transport available in sector I-10/3 at present.
The lawyers have filed a petition against the shifting of revenue office from F-8 Katchery to I-10/3, calling for a stay as the act would cause inconvenience to practising lawyers.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered both parties: ICT and lawyers, to solve this issue bilaterally till November 18.
According to reliable sources, the officers of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and lawyers held a brief meeting on Thursday.
In a meeting, the lawyers showed their concerns about the public transport issue to the visitors who come from different cities and don’t have their own convince.
ICT administration mulls on providing the citizens and outsiders a public transport route and summary in this regard had been submitted to the chief commissioner.
The ICT administration, however, has not yet decided that the administration will make a new route or amend the previous one to facilitate the visitors.
It is worth mentioning here that it was the need of hour to provide every service regarding the registration of land, and revenue related things to the citizens, locals and nationals under one roof.
While talking, the ADCR said that in the great interest of the ICT administration, and to settle all the things regarding revenue under one roof, and to rid of from congested area, the authority decided to shift the office of revenue to sector I-10/3 few months ago.
‘The shifting is almost done; the employees are also directed to join the new located office. “We’ll deliver all the facilities to the citizens and nationals under one roof, the ICT administration also approved a new route which would enable the outsiders to reach the said office conveniently,” ADCR added.
