Turkey and Punjab government have signed an agreement to cooperate in the health sector.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif witnessed the signing ceremony in Lahore.
Under the agreement, Turkey will cooperate to upgrade the services in the health sector of Punjab.
Furthermore, Turkish Health Ministry will provide technical and other necessary cooperation for setting up the Public Health Agency in Punjab. This will be done to stop the spread of the epidemic and acute diseases and create public awareness in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister said that provision of high standard health care facilities to the public is a top priority of his government.
He welcomed the cooperation extended by Turkey for improvement of Health Care System in Punjab.
