PTI decides to change counsel in Panamagate case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decided to change its counsel, Hamid Khan in Panamagate case after the previous hearing caused various eyebrows raised over his selection as a lead lawyer.

According to reports, various names including Babar Awan are being considered over to replace Hamid Khan.

Imran Khan made this decision after the party leaders demanded the same, as they are of the opinion that Hamid Khan shamed the party in the courtroom, though he is an able and fully competent lawyer.

According to central leaders of the PTI, Hamid Khan presented a very strong case in a manner that led to judges pass remarks that bespoke an unsubstantiated stance on the PTI’s part.

It should be mentioned here that Naeem Bukhari is also one of the PTI’s counsels in Panama Leaks case.

It is pertinent to note here that earlier, children of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also changed their counsel and acquired the services of senior lawyer Akram Sheikh.
