The Pakistan Navy on Friday said it had prevented Indian submarines from entering Pakistani waters.

“The Indian Navy, in order to fulfil its nefarious designs, was deploying submarines. The Pakistan Navy, alert and using its extreme skill, prevented Indian submarines from entering Pakistani waters.”

“Pakistan Navy fleet units detected the presence of Indian submarines in the southern parts of Pakistani waters, mimiced their behaviour and restricted their activity,” the statement said.

Pakistan Navy prevented the Indian submarines from being successful in their attempts to keep their presence a secret, the statement said.

“The Pakistan Navy constantly pursued the submarines and pushed them back.”

  1. Why push them back?. They should have been allowed to enter the Pakistani waters and finished off With depth charges,. This is called the doctrine of self defence or "surgical drowning "if there is such a term. The navy lost a golden opportunity.

  2. Have read comments in other dailies where readers feel that only driving away the Indian SM was not enough. If it was in Pakistani waters, why could it not be captured – like the Indian Navy serving Commander Yadav – search it or even make it surrender ?
