Saifur Rehman denies role in Prince Jasim’s letter to SC

The former head of Ehtesab Bureau and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif`s close aide Saifur Rehman has said that though he had prior information about the letter of Qatari Prince Hammad bin Jasim before it was presented to the Supreme Court, however, he had no role in its drafting.

In a TV interview, Rehman said he has been living in Qatar since last 39 years and he has strong business relations with the Qatar’s Royal family.

“The content of the letter was to my knowledge because Sheikh Hammad is my sponsor, his son is my business partner, hence I was aware of the developments,” he said.

Prince Jasim stated that he gave money to the premier’s family for the purchase of flats in London.
