Singer Ricky Martin has officially announced his engagement to Arab artist Jwan Yosef, leaving his fans happier than ever.

The Livin’ La Vida Loca singer revealed the news during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday.

For the 44-year-old Puerto Rican pop star – who came out in 2010 and also happens to be a Grammy winner – it is unusual to come out with such a big announcement and even proudly flaunt his engagement band to Ellen, the studio and all his fans.

Ricky had split with economist Carlos González Abella back in 2014, and now fans are happy to know that he moved on quite well.

The pop-star’spoke about how he fell in love with his significant other, who is a Syrian-born, Swedish-raised 32-year-old artist.

From his talk, we found out that they met over a year ago and it was Jwan’s conceptual art that had brought them together.

“I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And I contacted him and then I collected him,” Ricky told Ellen.

On being asked how he proposed, Ricky said he nervously popped the question by declaring he “got something’” for Yosef instead of the more traditional “will you marry me.”

“Bad! And then he was like, ‘Yes’. I said, “I want to spend my life with you” and he was like, ‘what is the question?’ “Would you marry me?”

“Yeah it was very beautiful and then you know it was very beautiful. And then 30 minutes after I said, “Did you say yes?” Yes, he said yes.”

The Central Saint Martin’s grad, Jwan, is excited to be a stepfather to Ricky’s eight-year-old twins sons Matteo and Valentino.

“They love each other! It’s been perfect, Ellen. It’s been very special,” Ricky continued telling Ellen.

The Perdóname singer and his painter fiancé made their social media debut on March 30 in Tokyo, and their red carpet debut on April 15 in São Paulo.

Martin’s other big announcement on Ellen was that he will soon kick off a series of concerts at the brand new 5,200-seat Park Theater inside Monte Carlo Resort and Casino.

“I’m going to be in Vegas! I have a residency in Vegas!” said the former soap star, whose tickets go on sale Monday.

Another great announcement coming from Martin was that he will take his 106-date One World Tour to the Figali Convention Center in Panama City this Thursday.

We can definitely say this was a groundbreaking episode of Ellen’s morning show for Ricky Martin fans.
