Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Abdul Qadir Patel was granted bail by Anti-Terrorism Court on Wednesday. He was received by a crowd of supporters upon his release from Central Jail.
“Friends, thank you for coming out to support me,” he said, decked with garlands around his neck.
“Justice has been victorious. We are not a group which thinks only of its interests. For us national interest comes first,” he said.
Patel was accused of making phone calls for abetting the treatment of terrorists.
The PPP leader was arrested on July 19.
