Back in 2011, she started her career with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Although Parineeti Chopra is set to complete five years in Bollywood, the actor says she still hasn’t understood the “ways of the industry at all” according to an article published in Hindustan Times.

“I don’t think I will ever understand it. I don’t think anyone, who has been here for even 50 years, can claim the same. The reason behind that is that it (one’s understating of the way the industry functions) is based on the acceptance of the world, which isn’t in your hands. So, you can never understand. If that was true (if one could understand how B-Town functions), then everyone would be a king or a queen, which isn’t possible,” Parineeti says.

So, do things happening in the industry still surprise Parineeti? “Yes, it keeps you on your toes, because something new happens daily. People could react in a new way, an unexpected film could work, unconventional actors could be successful or a tried-and-tested formula could fail,” she says.

Of late, the rumours related to Parineeti’s personal life have come to an end. Ask her if she misses being talked about by the media, and she says, “No because I never wanted it. My love life is personal to me, and I am not a filmi person. I like to go back [home] to a normal life. I don’t want it to be in the papers. So, it’s great.”

The actor, who was linked to film-maker Maneesh Sharma for a long time, says she would talk about her relationship if she had one. “The day there is something to talk about, I will do it, even though I have a feeling that I might still keep it private (smiles). We will see when it happens. Right now, I just want to talk about my work because that’s what I am doing,” says the actor, who will next be seen with Ayushmann Khurrana in Meri Pyaari Bindu, and with Ajay Devgn in Golmaal 4.
