Authorities on Wednesday confiscated former president Pervez Musharraf’s properties in Islamabad and Chak Shahzad on orders of the court.

The court had, in its verdict, stated that the former president was an absconder in the high treason case and he no longer reserved the right to sell his properties.

The verdict had been announced after the court declared Musharraf absconder over his continuous absence from hearings.

Musharraf’s confiscated properties include a farmhouse in Chak Shahzad and a residential plot in DHA, Islamabad.

In a report submitted to a special court, the administration stated that both the properties owned by Musharraf had been confiscated.

The hearing was held by Sessions Judge East Islamabad Sohail Ikram on the orders of the special court.

It may be mentioned here that Pervez Musharraf is abroad for treatment of backbone pain.

  1. There is a proverb " Bhagte bhoot ki langoti". If NS Government could not do much to Gen Musharraf – at least played the 'last post'.
