Zahid Hamid visits Pakistani Pavilion at COP-22

Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid visited the Pakistani pavilion at the UNFCCC COP 22 conference underway in Morocco, and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani delegation to project the climate change situation in Pakistan through its exhibit of photographs.

The minister arrived in Morocco to attend the ministerial-level meetings of the 2nd Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), said a press release issued here on Tuesday.

“The Pakistani pavilion is a colourful representation of climate change effects, rich culture, and the potential of Pakistani tourism,” said the minister.

Zahid Hamid said the COP-22 was a great opportunity to make the world aware of effects of climate change on Pakistan, Pakistani culture and its’ tourism.

He also received briefings from delegates concerning the process of negotiations in different fields of interest.
