Pillion riding has been banned for today –Nov 16- on the account of Chehlam of Imam Hussain by District Government Peshawar.
Chehlam of Imam Hussain, martyred grandson of the Prophet of Islam, will be observed with religious zest and devotion on November 21st, for which the security arrangements around the city will be tightened, and arrangements for fool proof security are in process.
District government Peshawar has already imposed section 144, banning pillion riding from today, November 16, instead of November 21, issuing an official notice.
According to the notice, ban on pillion riding will last for a single day.
