Musharraf destroyed country, inappropriate to think of him as a leader, says Rabbani

Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani on Tuesday alluded to Ex-President Pervez Musharraf’s reign and said it is not appropriate to consider someone like Musharraf, who had destroyed the country, in a leadership role.

He was talking to media-men after Rasm-e-qull of Jahangir Badar in Lahore when he made these comments in response to a question asked about Musharraf.

“It would be the last day for politicians when he comes back to the country’s politics; Musharraf, who had abrogated the constitution of Pakistan,” lamented Rabbani.

He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in a state of frenzy at the moment and Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir is without precedent.

The talk of Musharraf’s entry back into politics gained strength when a meeting between Musharraf and MQM-Pakistan leaders took place earlier this month in Dubai.

Recently, mysterious banners supporting an alliance between Pervez Musharraf and MQM-Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar appeared on Monday in Karachi.
