The Cable Operators Association (COA) called off its strike after Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday assured them to look into their issues and resolve the problems faced by them.
The cable operators of the twin cities were holding strike in favour of their demands for the last few days. COA Chairman Khalid Arain said that despite playing key role in regularizing the TV channels, the justified demands of the cable operators were not being fulfilled.
However, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar taking notice of the strike of cable operators contacted them and told them to hold meeting with representatives of COA on November 18 after which it called off the strike.
Khalid Arain expressed the hope that the Finance minister would play an important role in resolving problems faced by them and fulfilling the justified demands.
