Levis Live session 2 enthrals audience

The second session of Levi’s® Live took place at Riot Studios captivating audiences with the live renditions. It featured performances by Bilal Khan and the upcoming band “Bayaan”.

This is a platform to play live music for talented young upcoming artists to reach their creative heights in the Pakistani music industry.

Bilal Khan, the musician known for his romantic soulful music crooned his hits and performed a groovy medley of old classics along with some brand new tracks of his own. Bayaan, the boy band which had Asfar Hussain on Vocals, gave a spectacular live performance with Shahrukh Aslam & Muqueet Shahzad on Guitars, Haider Abbas playing Bass and Mansoor Lashari playing the drums.

The audience of the second session was an eclectic mix which included superstar actor Fawad Khan & musicians Ali Hamza, Ali Noor of Noori. Singers Momina Mustehsan & Maria Unera along with actor Ahmed Ali Butt and director Bilal Lashari also attended the show.

Farhad Humayun of Riot Studios said, “This is the second session and the response we have received is nothing less than extraordinary.”

“The artists who performed in the previous session have been appreciated far and wide and the crowd loves it. We’re very happy to host the coolest party in town,” Farhad said.

The headliner for session two, Bilal Khan said, “I had a fantastic time playing. I’ve been playing a lot of shows outside Pakistan so it was refreshing to play a new set in my hometown.”

“I think my main motivation for participating in this initiative by Levi’s is to support our budding musicians and the live music culture in Pakistan,” Bilal said.

After Bayaan’s performance, lead vocalist Asfar Hussain said, “This was quite unlike any gig we’ve done so far because it paired the demands and pressure of a recorded show with the relaxed atmosphere of an intimate setting with a small but incredibly enthusiastic audience.”

“We played three original songs: “Nahil Milta”, “Farda” were songs that we’ve already released and “Din Dhalay” is a brand new song and the audience was the first that had a chance to hear it. We hope you like it as much as people at the show did,” he added.

The videos of the performances of the opening night of Levi’s® Live will be available online. The next session is scheduled for December.
