Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ordered to expunge Ali Musa Gilani’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) in ephedrine quota case.

LHC justice Shams Mehmood Mirza was hearing the petition filed by former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Musa Gilani against inclusion of his name in ECL on direction of federal interior ministry in ephedrine case.

During the hearing, Musa Gilani’s lawyer barrister Salman Safdar told the court that without any reason the name of his client had been on ECL for four years. He argued that according to law name of any citizen cannot be included in the ECL for more four years.

The government’s lawyer told the court that the name of accused Ali Musa Gilani was included in ECL in Ephedrine case which was under investigation in the court.

The court after hearing the arguments from both sides ordered to exclude the name of Musa Gilani from the ECL.
