President of Azad Jammu-Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has urged to initiate a campaign against mass blinding in Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces at national and international level, to make India accountable for such heinous crimes.
While talking to the editors of print media, Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan rejected the concept that Kashmir dispute was a bilateral issue and said it’s an international issue.
He said bilateral dialogue with India would not be fruitful as it was being governed by the Hindu extremists. The dialogue with India, he said, should be held purely on Kashmir issue.
He said that Shimla Agreement did not affect international status of Kashmir issue because Kashmir was an old dispute and had been on the agenda of UN’s Security Council, and still unresolved.
‘‘We should stay resolved on our stand regarding Kashmir issue and if India would give any option on the issue then it can be deliberated,’’ he added.
The AJK President lauded PM Nawaz step to send special envoys on Kashmir to different countries.
He condemned gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir by Indian forces and the use of pellet guns against innocent and defenceless Kashmiris.
‘Large number of youth, including boys and girls, has lost their eyesight due to use of pellet guns by Indian forces. He asked national and state’s media to help and highlight grave human rights violations in IHK by showing Indian brutalities to world so that campaign against India could be made effective.
He gave detailed briefing on prevailing situation in occupied Kashmir after the martyrdom of young freedom fighter Burhan Wani. He said Kashmiri leadership was not oblivious to his responsibility on highlighting Kashmir cause.
