Empty beds worth more than a life

Nowadays it is a common practice in our hospitals to encourage pregnant women for C-Sections (Cesarean) rather than normal deliveries. This tactic enables hospital administration to earn more money in a shorter period of time and also grants gynecologists with a handsome amount of money. Even though the doctors are thoroughly aware of the side effects associated with C-sections, yet their greed for money overshadows life.

Some of the risks and complications associated with C-section for both mother and baby include heavy blood loss and injury to other organs and tissues. Furthermore, a premature birth contributes towards need for keeping the infant in NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).

Hence, it is the responsibility of the government health care official to keep a strong check on this situation and deal with this problem with an iron hand to save precious lives of babies and mothers.
