E-pension system to be introduced in federal govt depts

Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis Ombudsman Secretariat Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmad Khokhar said E-Pension (automated) system would be introduced in all the federal departments soon, in order to facilitate millions of federal government employees in completion of their pension papers before their retirement.

He expressed these views while talking to APP on Saturday.

The initiative will help ensure early finalisation of the pension cases of the federal government employees, Ahsaan said.

He said a meeting was held at Federal Ombudsman Secretariat on Tuesday in this regard with the senior officials of ministry of finance, establishment division and accountant general of Pakistan for introducing E-Pension (automated) system in all federal government departments.

Hafiz Ahsaan said that the pension cases of the employees would be finalised within time frame of 30 days which has never been held before.

The next meeting on the subject will be held on November 23 in Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, he added.
