ATC rejects bail plea of Allama Yousaf in hate speech case

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected the bail plea Majlis Wahadat-ul-Muslameen (MWM) leader Allama Mirza Yousaf in hate speech case.

During the hearing, the investigation officer (IO) informed the court through his statement that Allama Yousaf was alleged of delivering hate speech and an FIR has been lodged against him with Sharifabad Police Station. The court after hearing the arguments of parties rejected the bail plea of the accused.

It is worth-mentioning here that the IO had adopted on last hearing of the case that Allama Yousaf delivered a hated speech at the funeral prayer of Zaki in May, 2016, and case was also registered against him.

The IO prayed the court to grant the 14 days physical remand of the accused. The court has ordered to send the accused to jail on 14 days judicial remand.
