Weapons seized from house of Zardari’s frontman

A huge cache of weapons was recovered on Thursday when law enforcement agencies raided a house in Old Clifton area.

Eight bags full of weapons were recovered from the house which include seven M4 rifles, six sub-machine guns, two 7mm rifles, two .223 rifles, four 12-bore, one G3, one 222 rifle, and two 9 mm pistols, according to sources.

They also found two police caps and two daggers from the house.

The weapons belonged to Nisar Morai, Chairman of the Fisherman Cooperative Society, also known to be a frontman for Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, sources said.

Morai was also released on bail on October 17 in the murder case of former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills Sajjad Hussain.

Sources said that the police had been pressurised not to release this news. A case has been registered with the Boat Basin Police Station against unidentified persons, while the place where weapons were recovered has been pointed as a garbage dump in the FIR.
