PSL set to become private limited company

Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set for transforming into a private limited company being owned by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This was revealed by the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Shahryar Khan in a recent press conference.

Shahryar Khan expressed at the press conference that on the basis of approval given by the governing body, it has been decided to transform PSL into private limited company. However, he let it be known that PSL would still work under the cricket board.

Shahryar Khan revealed on the occasion that Pakistan’s cricket board has been a laughing stock for the world currently and that we will retain the current regional system and departmental system at the domestic level.

He vowed that championships within the schools would also be held on regional basis and participation of private schools would also be ensured in this regard.

Shahryar Khan also revealed that Quetta, AJK and FATA regions would be given special attention.

While commenting on Pakistan Team’s performance, Chairman PCB expressed that the overall performance against West Indies was better and the behaviour of the players within the ground was also fair.

He expressed that MCC through its letter has also commended Pakistan team performance in the recent series.

Shahryar also commented that the series against New Zealand is a tough assignment for Pakistan cricket team.

The chairman of PCB executive Najam Sethi revealed on the occasion that PCB has approved to transform PSL into a private limited company, however, all the profit from the company would be owned by PCB.

He revealed that there would be three directors from PCB within the new PSL company.

While responding to a question on Pak-India cricket ties, Najam Sethi was of the opinion that owing to the issue being a sensitive one, I won’t do politics over the matter.

He also expressed that due to India denial of playing with Pakistan, our cricket has affected a lot.

Najam Sethi revealed that he also raised the issue in ICC meeting and upon his stance of securing points in the case of India not playing with us, Anurag Thakur didn’t comment at all.
