Several educational institutions in Quetta have been closed due to a terror threat alert in the region.
Schools under the Catholic Board of Education as well as several other private schools, IT and women’s universities were closed over security concerns after the local authorities warned the institutions of a terror threat.
District Education Officer (DEO) issued instructions to the schools for a security high alert earlier this week.
As per the instructions, no one should be allowed to enter the schools without first proving their identity and the walls of the schools in need of repair should be repaired immediately.
School guards have been issued strict orders to monitor the schools’ surroundings.
