Pakistani policeman martyred, 4 persons injured due to Indian firing in Nakial sector

A Pakistani policeman was martyred and four persons were injured on Monday (Today) in unprovoked firing and shelling by Indian troops in Nakyal sector of Kotli district across the Line of Control (LoC).

Indian forces targeted civilian settlements in Soban village at around 8:00am. Pakistan army troops also responded to the unprovoked Indian shelling.

The deceased policeman has been identified as 30-year old police constable, Imtiaz, who died on the spot after being hit by a mortar shell in Nakyal sector of Kotli.

Earlier on Monday, at least four people were martyred and five injured in Nakyal sector along the Line of Control. Six people were also martyred and 10 injured in Nakyal and the adjacent Tatta Pani sector last Friday and Saturday.
