Pakistan urged the world body to investigate the killing of innocent Kashmiris in Indian-held Kashmir and asked the United Nations to send a fact-finding mission to IHK.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in an interview said, “United Nations should send a fact-finding mission to occupied Kashmir to report on the gross violations of human rights.”

“Sacrifices made by Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination will not go waste and will bear fruit very soon,” he added.

“India cannot suppress the voice of the Kashmiris through the use of force.”

To a question, Zakaria said that Pakistan has been highlighting the brutalities and human rights violations by Indian security forces.

The spokesman said India has martyred thousands of innocent Kashmiris and used pellet guns and tear gas to control anti-government protesters.
