Islamabad Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz has approved Rs198 million for the completion of residual development work of Sector D-12.
These funds were approved during a meeting held at CDA Headquarters to review the progress of development activities being carried out at sector D-12.
The meeting approved funds amounting to Rs.192.00 million for development of Markaz D-12 while Rs.5.2 million were allocated for the installation of street lights in sector D-12.
Some street lights have already become functional and soon after completion of drainage and sewerage system, lights in the remaining areas will be installed.
D-12 Markaz will be developed in phases and tenders in this regard would be issued in the next few days.
The mayor said that in order to cater to the needs of residents of sector D-12 with in the sector, commercial plots of the Markaz D-12. Development of Markaz D-12 includes construction of footpaths, establishment of drainage and sewerage system, development of car parking area and to carryout landscaping and beautification of Markaz D-12.
Furthermore, the mayor directed Environment Wing to carryout landscaping at median strips and plant shady trees along all roads of the sector.
