600 laptops distributed among students at Urdu University

Federal Urdu University on Monday distributed 600 laptops among bright students under Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.

Pakistan Muslim League – N (PML-N) MNA Tahira Aurangzeb, while addressing the ceremony, said the positive usage of technology was imperative in this modern era for bringing socio-economic development in society.

The ceremony was attended by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Dr Kamran Ahsan, Federal Urdu University Registrar Shah Muhammad and a large number of students and faculty members.

Tahira Aurangzeb said technology was the major source for imparting latest skills and knowledge amongst youth.

The laptops should also be provided to the best teachers, she said and added, “We would forward recommendations to prime minister in this regard.”

The PML-N leader urged the students to play their vital role in utilising their energies for sustainable peace in the society.
