Human Resource Department (HRD) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) misinterprets the letter of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). An inquiry was finalised against daily wagers appointed in grade 16 rather than probing the matter of 34 illegally appointed regular officers.

According to the letter of FIA which was available with Pakistan Today, it had been revealed that FIA wrote a letter to chairman CDA on 22 December, 2015. “FIA is conducting the subject cited enquiry regarding allegations of illegal appointments in BS-16 to BS-18 in CDA during the year 2011-12,” says letter.

The letter of FIA stated that the employees were recruited on nepotism and to mint money as well.

In some cases no advertisements were made in the newspaper. During inquiry, relevant record was requested from CDA. The scrutiny of record revealed that 34 officers from BS-16 and above were appointed on regular basis and 19 on daily wages. Later on, the services of all the officers of BS-16 to BS-18 were regularised by CDA.

Director FIA, Inam Ghani asked the chairman CDA to hold a fact finding inquiry into the matter and send the report within 15 days for further necessary actions.

However, the corrupt and venal officials of HRD, confidential misled the high-ups and initiated the enquiry of daily wages officers instead.

Sources confided that the mayor and chairman CDA received an application from the daily wages officers about the said matter on which he took stern actions and dismissed the inquiry of HRD and confidential directorate.
