Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday extended interim bail granted to former Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and other accused in the Rs5 billion corruption reference till Nov 15.
An SHC bench heard bail applications of Sharjeel Inam Memon and other accused in the corruption case. The court while extending interim bail granted to the accused and co-accused till Nov 15, directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file reply in next hearing.
The court further directed the Investigation Officer to make sure his appearance in the next date of hearing.
Zulfiqar Ali Shalwani and Mansoor Ahmed and others are co-accused in the Rs5 billion corruption case.

The NAB had filed a corruption reference against Memon, other information department officials and advertising companies’ representatives for illegalities in the process of awarding contracts worth over Rs5 billion for official Sindh government awareness campaigns for the electronic media.
