National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat Friday expressed strong displeasure that concerned authorities were unable to take action against criminals who were involved in hiding 27 kg Heroin Powder in PIA aircraft despite repeated directions.
The Committee which met at the parliament house with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair decided to invite the Heads of PIA, ASF, ANF and Customs in the next meeting to know the reasons as to why action was not initiated against criminals despite the lapse of a considerable period.
Therefore, the committee deferred the issue until its next meeting.
The meeting was attended by Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, Sardar Mansib Ali Dogar, MNA, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, MNA, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, MNA, Ms. Farhana Qamar, MNA, Ms. Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Ms.Nighat Parveen Mir, MNA, Maulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, MNA, Ms. Seema Muhiuddin Jameeli, MNA, and senior officers of the concerned ministries/departments.
