As many as 10 people were killed and more than 60 others received injuries as at least 12 vehicles collided with each other due to smog in Pindi Bhatiyan area of Sukhaki on Thursday.
Rescue sources said that widespread fog resulted into collision of 10 motor vehicles early Thursday morning in Pindi Bhatiyan area of Sukhaki, killing at least 8 people on the spot while scores of people injured in the accident.
The injured and dead were shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) immediately but later they were transferred to other cities as the required medical facilities were not available in the DHQ.
Separately, a collision between cars left two passengers dead and five people injured. The victims were shifted to Allied Hospital for medical assistance.
According to motorway police spokesman, after the accident M-3 motorway was closed from Pindi Bhatiyan to Faisalabad but was reopened after the fog level lowered.
