Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) spokesman Naeem-ul-Haq has asked the Sharif brothers to tender an apology to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for brutal use of teargas on the provincial chief minister and blocking his entry into Punjab.

Speaking to the media on Monday late night, Haq said that days of Sharif brothers were numbered.

“Nobody trusts Nawaz Sharif anymore and that is why the apex court is forming the Panama Commission,” he said.

The PTI spokesman said that Nawaz Sharif was an enemy of Pakistan. He also asked the PTI workers and supporters to gather at Parade Ground by 2pm. He also demanded of the government to release all the detained PTI workers.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has disclosed that he had declined an offer by Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif to abandon his supporters and cross into Punjab alone.

“I received a telephone call from Shehbaz Sharif about half-an-hour before the march set off for Islamabad. He offered me safe passage to Punjab alone, but I rejected his offer,” Khattak told the media.

The PTI caravan led by Pervez Khattak came under heavy teargas shelling as they tried to cross into Punjab from Swabi Interchange.

The charged PTI workers managed to cross the first major hurdle at Haroonabad Bridge but were later forced to retreat from Burhan Interchange due to pre-dawn shelling.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan then advised CM Khattak to retreat to Swabi and make a fresh strategy to reach the Capital.
