JI criticizes federal govt for long power breakdowns

Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh Ameer Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui on Tuesday criticized the federal government for announcing schedule of long power breakdowns in the province.

In a statement, Siddiqui urged the provincial government to record the protest at highest level in this regard. “The people were already facing hardships due to unemployment, inflation and corruption, this act of the federal government is equivalent to drop electricity upon the citizens,” he added.

The JI’s Sindh chief said that the federal government had failed to overcome the issues including unemployment, inflation and power shortage during its tenure. It also had failed to fulfill its promises to resolve these issues.

The business had been ruined due to the load-shedding of the electricity. The government, instead of repairing out of order power plants, sent huge bills to the citizens which was injustice with them.
