The Islamabad Police on Monday lodged cases against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister Amin Gandapur under illegal arms and anti-drugs acts.
Earlier on Sunday, the police had recovered arms, including five Kalashnikov rifles, a pistol, six magazines, a bullet-proof vest, three teargas shells and alcohol from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Amin Gandapur’s car when he was going to Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala.
The provincial minister’s car was stopped at a checkpoint and searched. The car was impounded, while Gandapur escaped.
The minister later said the bottle had honey, not alcohol.
